Is Full Fibre broadband in my area?
Our Full Fibre promise
Full Fibre broadband is rolling out across the UK. If you can’t get it just yet, no need to worry. Sign up to our Fibre package and you’ll get the fastest speed we can offer you at your address.
It gets even better. Once you’re with us, you can upgrade as soon as Full Fibre hits your street. That’s our promise and that’s a plus.
How's Full Fibre different from fibre broadband?
Our Fibre and Full Fibre packages are broadband only, so there’s no landline. Fibre broadband is only part-fibre. It uses fibre cables to your street cabinet, then copper cables connect to your house.
Full Fibre Broadband

With Full Fibre broadband, there’s no need for copper cables. The Full bit is that using the latest technology you get a Full Fibre optic cable delivered to your door giving you ultrafast speeds.
- Broadband without a landline
- Flexible range of speeds
- Supercharged by our Hub Two router
- 24 month contracts
- Super for smart homes
- Unlimited usage
Full Fibre is the next generation ultrafast broadband, which connects straight to your home, so doesn’t need a phone line. It combines cutting-edge fibre-optic technology to deliver 900Mb download speeds and even greater upload speeds in comparison to traditional broadband.
Can I get Full Fibre broadband in my area?
Full Fibre isn’t available everywhere just yet. If you can’t get it, sign up to our superfast Fibre package and can upgrade as soon as Full Fibre rolls into your street. That’s our promise. Check if you can get our Full Fibre broadband deals.
If you don’t have a Full Fibre connection we’ll arrange an Openreach engineer to visit your home to get one set up.
We’ll need to install two Openreach Full Fibre boxes, one inside and the other outside your home. The small box we’ll fit in your home is a called an Optical Network Terminal, or ONT for short. This needs to be close to your router and a double plug socket.
To connect the Full Fibre boxes and cables we’ll need to drill through your wall from the outside of your property. Someone over the age of 18 will need to be at home on the day we activate your service.
It usually takes a couple of hours to get you set up and the engineer will finish up by testing your connection using one of your preferred devices. That’s it. You’ll be good to go and can start enjoying your game-changing, reliable, ultrafast Full Fibre.

Switching to us is easier than ever. With One Touch Switching we'll sort everything for you.
If you’ve already got a Full Fibre connection, we can activate your service remotely. We can usually get you set up in 3 working days and we’ll confirm this once you’ve signed up.
If we need to install a new Full Fibre broadband service, you’ll need an engineer to visit your premises to get your service set up and activated. This usually takes 3-10 working days. We’ll take care of everything and always aim to get you set up as quickly as we can.
Sometimes an Openreach engineer may need to run a few checks or survey your property to see if there’s any additional work required to get your connection set up.
We’ll let you know if they need to do any checks as part of your order. Once these are finished we’ll be in touch to confirm your installation date.
FTTP stands for Fibre to The Premises. It’s also called Full Fibre. It uses fibre cables all the way into your home. There’s no phone line needed to set up a Full Fibre connection. This means it can deliver ultrafast broadband speeds up to 900Mb and makes it the UK’s most reliable broadband technology too.
FTTP isn’t available everywhere yet, but it’s being installed up and down the UK. Plusnet FTTP is called Full Fibre.
FTTC stands for Fibre to The Cabinet. Also known as fibre broadband or part fibre. It uses fibre cables to the cabinet on your street, then copper cables to your home. FTTC broadband isn’t as fast as FTTP, but you can still get superfast speeds up to 66Mb.
Our Full Fibre broadband packages are FTTP, and our Fibre broadband packages are FTTC.
With our Full Fibre packages you can get incredible, ultrafast, speeds up to 900Mb and it’s 25 x faster than standard fibre.
They’re all great value, 24 month contracts with unlimited usage.

Broadband is changing, and soon the old analogue landline network which powers traditional broadband will be going digital across the UK. Landline phones as they are today will be retired by 2027 and replaced by making calls over the internet and the mobile phone network.
The good news is with Plusnet Full Fibre, there’s no need for a landline. So, your broadband will be ready for the digital change and all set for the future. And you won’t need to pay for a landline phone service you don’t use.
All our Full Fibre broadband packages are unlimited. This means you can use the internet as much as you like without any limits to how much data you download or upload each month. Now that's a big plus!
Plusnet Full Fibre is a broadband only package. Using new technology, there’s no landline needed to set up your connection, so it doesn’t include a home phone line service.
When you sign up for a Full Fibre broadband deal you'll need to confirm that you're happy to lose your landline.
We’ll then take care of everything and let you know when we can install your new ultrafast Full Fibre service.
