REACH Legislation and Substances of Very High Concern
See how we work to control the use of Substances of very High Concern to help protect our customers and the environment.
We pride ourselves on doing right by our customers and doing all we can to help protect our planet. We're part of the BT Group, so you can be sure we're going even further to help do our bit to tackle the impact on the environment. To protect your health and our planet, BT Group carefully control the use of hazardous substances in the products we sell. All our products must comply with the following:
- Restriction of Hazardous substances legislation (RoHS)
- Persistent Organic Pollutants legislation (POPs)
- Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals legislation, also known as REACH
What is REACH Legislation?
REACH legislation means that we have to tell you if any of our products include above a certain amount of 'Substances of Very High Concern' (SVHCs). Where any SVHCs are used in Plusnet or BT Group products, rest assured they aren't a safety risk to customers under normal use. Find out more about SVHCs in BT Group products.
Help us to protect our planet
We'd love you to play your part in this too. Help us look after our environment by making sure that our products are recycled when you've finished with them. You can return BT and EE products to any EE shop for free recycling. For more information on other ways to recycle, visit the links below:
